confusion need help

so I've had sex with my boyfriend 4 or 5 times now , not a lot but .. I thought the first time I "popped my cherry" because I started bleeding and it hurt but now when ever we try it still hurts just as much and I have spotting during and afterwards. why is this happening and can I make it stop
