Developing communication skills

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year and a half. I'm extremely happy with him, except for the fact that we don't often communicate about sex. I know for couples as young as we are (19 &23), dead bedrooms are kind of a big deal, but I don't know how to get him stayed on talking about it without making him feel like I'm attacking him or making it seem like I'm not enjoying myself. Do you guys have any advice from personal experience or books that have helped you break through the communication barrier?
