Stay at home or working mama?

Alright ladies, just thought I would do a poll to see who is/is going to be staying at home or working. Curious to see which you choose and why! 😁

Stay at home. My boyfriend doesnt make alot, money is very tight. But daycare is expensive! Im not going to work just to give my whole check to a babysitter. Plus i cant imagine not staying at home :/ money is tight.. But we will make it work.

I'm going to work and I'll be doing billing for a doctors office I wanted to see if I can work from home too. It's my first baby and I don't want to be away 8 hrs a day.

Stay at home for about a year on maternity/ parental benefits (canada ei) then back to work

I pretty much stayed at home with my first two but went to school. This time I stared out working full time but dropped down to part time and the pay cut sucks but it's just easier to have 2 sources of income for now.

I'll be home throughout the day with baby and heading to work once my SO gets home and he'll be on baby duty.

We need both salaries but I do work from home. The problem will be the travel I do for work (approximately 10 weeks a year)

Stay-at-home. I've been a live-in-nanny and have worked at daycares. I've spent sooo much time caring for other children that I'm just ready to fully care for my own! My husband and I decided that would be the plan (I wanted and he supported) before we even got married. And daycare is very expensive. It's almost like one parent is working just to pay the daycare...crazy! Also, I'm very picky on what I want my child to learn and do. I'd like to have reign and control to make sure he/she is getting as much attention, education, and love as possible!:) My mom and my MIL were both stay-at-home moms and we'd like to do that for our kiddos :)

I actually want to work. I'm an oncology nurse and I LOVE my job - it's truly my calling and I can't imagine not having that part of my life. Also, I know myself well enough to know that I would not do the sahm thing well - I would be frazzled and angry and depressed and not a good mother like I need to be. I love my kids but I function as a better parent when I get to go do things that fulfill other parts of me. If that makes sense.

I work now and we have one. Second is due in January. Not sure what to do since day care for two is $430 a week. I make $550 a week.
