Do you use a wipe if baby only pees?

Just wondering, I have read alot of conflicting information/opinions on this

My daughter (11) asked me that the other day when she was changing the baby.  I asked her... "Do you wipe when you pee?" Question answered!

I just dip a flannel reusable wipe in coconut oil and wipe her with that. It conditions and cleans. For poops I do wipe and then follow with the oil. If I use wipes everytime she gets a rash!!!!

Don't you wipe when you pee? Same should go for your baby. Are there really conflicted opinions on this?? I've never heard anyone say they don't wipe their baby if they only pee

I do it to try and prevent diaper rash. I do NOT want a baby whose starting teething, growth spurts, and gassiness crying because I didnt do something simple lol plus im afraid of not cleaning his penis good enough.

I have a boy and I don't usually wipe unless there is a tiny bit of poo from a fart in his diaper. There is also a difference between wiping a baby after a wet diaper and wiping a potty trained child/adult after peeing. We wipe after using the bathroom so we don't drop urine on our underwear and smell like pee. Diapered babies don't have that problem because diapers absorb it. Now if he has a diaper rash, I would wipe with a warm cloth or the cloth wipe spray (not a wipe) before reapplying the cream.

We dont wipe our son every time. Hes also never had a rash or any issues. He also doesnt stink of urine and showers with us nightly. Every family has their own way.

My friends sister never used wipes with her daughter when she peed and I changed her one time when I was visiting them. I freaked the hell out on her. The poor baby girl was SO SO red and sore!!!!! I said don't you wipe this baby!!! She said only when she poops. What the fuck is wrong with you. WIPE HER! (To my friends sister)

Urine is one of the main causes of diaper rash cause like said earlier it's very acidic and that change in PH on your baby's skin can cause a diaper rash! Always wipe clean and let baby's bottom dry from wipe before placing diaper back on.
