IUD HELP?!

I hate my IUD. 
I just got it about a week ago but the cramps are terrible still. On top of that I feel almost violated, I don't want to have sex with this thing inside of me! I'm extremely gassy and very bloated. I'm only a week in but I'm terrified I'm never going to have sex again.

Any advice would be amazing.

Ask for it removed. U got pregnant while it was in me and it caused me to miscarry

I went through the same exact thing when I had my IUD inserted. I got the Skyla IUD and I felt like I had bad cramps all of the time and spotted sporadically. I consulted my OB/GYN about it and she told me those were normal side effects and usually resolve about 3 months after it being placed. I decided to just give it a chance and see what would happen. Even though everything still felt weird, I went back after a few weeks to get my strings checked and she assured me everything looked normal. About a 3 and a half months deep into my having the IUD the cramps and spotting were still there and I was nervous that the IUD was moving out of its place or something. I ended up going to an Urgent Care because I didn't want to want for an appointment with my doctor; the NP checked me and also assured me that everything looked normal. I just ended up going back to my doctor about a week or two later and just had it removed, which was an instant relief, but it kind of sucked because I was excited about the whole long term birth control thing. But I'm currently on the pill right now and haven't had any issues with it. You've had it inserted recently so maybe your body is still adapting to it being in there but if it doesn't go away, I would consult your doctor to see what's going on and what other options may be

I felt exactly like this. If anything I felt traumatised by the procedure of them putting it in. I've never known a pain like it. I've been on it since April and it's not too bad. Me and my SO had sex about two weeks after it fitted and he felt the stings and put a condom on. 2 weeks after that we tried again and the strings had softened and he didn't even know they were there. You have something unnatural in your body so it will take time to get use too.

I had exactly the same problems with my implant. As soon as it was in, I had 2 week long periods, and it got to the point that the doctor had to prescribe me the pill to stop me from bleeding. However, after 6 months, apart from weight gain, all my previous symptoms cleared up and my periods were every 3 months at most.

I would advise giving it at least a few months. It can take up to 6 months for your body to adjust to the new hormones, etc and obviously it'll be a little uncomfortable at first but it will probably be worth it. However, if you are worried, go back to a clinic or see your doctor ☺️☺️☺️
