First gynecologist appointment ?

What age were you? When did you go on birth control? Did you keep your parent in the room, and if not how did you get them out so you could talk to your doc about EVERYTHING?!?

My first was in the ER at 14. Then I had another at 15. At 16 when I went on birth control. I only went to my GP they did that with a physical I absolutely hated them it was awful I didn't settle down with an obgyn until 20 and when I met her she was great. I recently lost my insurance but it took me awhile to find a doctor I truly trusted and who actually listened to me.

I was 16 the first time i went and i was pregnant as well so my appt sucked because not only was i javing all the normal testing done i was also having to prepare for a baby. My grandma raised me and she was old fashioned she wouldnt come in the room with me i wanted her to i was scared.
