Over the counter v. Doctors?

Okay so I know over the counter BC has been legalized, but I also heard that it possibly can be less effective? Does anyone have any input or info on this? Would help so much:)

I would rather talk to a pharmacist than a doctor about birth control.
Pharmacists are trained in drugs, so they usually know far more than your general doctor would.
Pharmacists also can take your blood pressure just the same as a doctor.

The main reason you'd need to see a doctor is if you need a Pap smear, which you should get one as soon as you start having sex, and have one regularly.
They say that women under 30 are unlikely to develop cervical cancer, but there's been numerous cases of women developing it, so I say it's much safer and gives you that piece of mind to have a pap anyway.
The quicker you catch cervical cancer, the more chance you have of surviving.
Why risk it?

You really need proper blood tests to know what BC to go on. I honestly cannot believe you can get BC over the counter in America.

I would much rather go to a dr nothing against a pharmacy but i need my piece of mind knowing that is what the dr went to school for the pharmacy knows more about drug interactions but idk
