How did you know he was the one?

How did you know your husband now was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with? In time feelings can change so how can one be certain he's THE ONE? I fantasise marrying my boyfriend and having kids Etc but my fantasy isn't reality. And..Divorce is very common now.. Any advice from people who have married? What thoughts ran through your mind before marriage?

It was funny for me because literally the first time I saw/met him, I knew there was something about him. He had a gf at the time and I was on the rebound, so we were just friends at first. But when he broke up with his gf not too long after we met, we got to know each other more and it sort of just happened. We didn't have to force it or anything. And I always had this feeling he was different. It's cheesy, I know. Unfortunately we did have a 6 month break, but even then, he was the only one I could imagine spending my life with. We got married shortly after we got back together. Inseparable since.

I knew he was the one because I never had to think about it. It never crossed my mind to debate it. It was never a thought that occurred to me. I was happy, and wanted to marry him. I think if you have to agonize over if he's the one or not, he probably isn't.

All may merried friends would tell me you'll just know he's the one... And when I met my husband they where right... I just knew that he was the one I would spend the rest of my life with... It took us 7 years befor we got merried any I wouldn't change anything...

I have been goin through a lot in my life. I was bullied from kindergarten to 7th grade and sexually harasses in 8th grade. It was always guys who were mean which made me not trust guys at all.

I knew Seve was the one because from day one I have felt 100% safe with him at all times. I usually ended things as soon as relationships went from meeting in a public place to going over to his place for dinner because it freaked me out. But going home to Seve was like coming home.

I now live with him (sort of it's complicated because I'm currently going back and forth between here in the states and back in Sweden) and it feels like I'm living with my best friend. I love him and I can't imagine spending life without him. We are getting married next year :)
