Period changed?

So Im on the Paragard IUD and my period changed from heavy to light in flow. Is this even normal with the copper IUD?

I have a paragaurd as well. I've had it for just under a year now. At first I was having the heavier flow and stronger cramps that are usually associated with them but the past couple months I've only had light spotting or nothing at all. I haven't had sex in awhile so I know I can't be pregnant! I'm not really sure if it's normal or not!
