When you're aroused the flow lessens. My partner and I used to be grossed out by it, but we started having sex on the last couple of days when my flow is lightest as we've grown to accept that it's just part of being women. I have really painful periods as well and I find that penetration helps with that. Have a talk about it, and do whatever feels right for you and your partner. If you're worried about making a mess, you could always have sex in the shower :)

I don't do it because my husband is grossed out by it. I asked once and he gave me a disgusted look an said he thinks it's dirty. I find it unfair though that he told me he's done it with a girlfriend before he met me but now that he has met me and has married me he won't try it. Sometimes I wish I have had sexual partners prior to meeting him I feel as if I have missed out on some great things. He has been there and done that. I can't help it but I regret not giving someone else my virginity. Nothing I can do about it now but daydream.

I don't mind it I use a tampon first just to minamise the blood and it doesn't feel any different to me, you can get pregnant at anytime of the month it's just a very low chance. Sperm have a few ways to survive like they can go into a type of hibernation ( don't no all the details on that because I wasn't listening in sex ed in high school ) so I wouldn't take the chance but you'll be fine if you try it out ....

We did it today. Just laid a towel underneath. It's kind if a turn off when he looks down and sees blood. I clean up and we do the deed, but after it's hard to take the condom off because the blood and he is a little grossed out bout the left over blood around the rim. You're wetter then usual so it's easy to get it to feel good

My fiancé and I do it all the time while I'm on my period. We just make sure to have a washcloth or towel near by for easy clean up.

I do on my lighter days but tend to use a condom. My husband doesn't really mind but I find the idea kinda gross without it.  If it's just spotting we don't worry but will have a shower after just in case.
