Are you trying to "desensitize" your pets to baby sounds?

Question

Has anyone been playing baby cries for the furry children to get use to having a human baby in the house? What have been the reactions so far?

I played a newborn crying and my 7mo old German shepherd came over and was super curious tilting his head from side to side. After a few times of playing it he didn't care. Also I turn the swing on occasionally to see if he'll bark at it but he doesn't!!

I mainly doing scents, like using the baby's lotion and wash. Washing my clothes/sheets in baby detergent, etc. then after baby is born have my husband bring in a blanket with his scent on it and introduce it to her while she's in "easy" command.

My dog is 7 and I've been working with her for 7 years on being around all types of kids! She's been around infant to teenager. I've also worked on her manners consistently.  I've noticed with her recorded sounds aren't the same as live.
