Telling others your baby name?

I was terrified of someone stealing our ideas. We've had similar problems before. My husband and I got engaged in September 2014. His brother decided to propose to his GF on Christmas 2014. We planned our wedding for June 2015. My future SIL has to have the spotlight at all times so she decided to plan their's in March 2015 just so their's could be first and they could get the first round of gifts from family. Before we starting trying I made SURE to ask if they were trying or pregnant already. She said no and they didn't want to have kids until they were more "ready." So now we are 14 weeks pregnant and the only ones in both families to be pregnant. We are having the first grandbaby on BOTH sides. So we told our names. Now, if anyone wants to use them, it will have to be after my baby 😊

I was going to do a name reveal at the baby shower. But everyone we'd told to keep it quiet blabbed.

We told our baby name and a cousin stole it. Therefor we will only be telling immediate family with this baby!

When we found I was pregnant with a girl we shared the ultrasound picture and said that baby Elizabeth would be here in July.

We announced our gender by telling the name. I'm a terrible secret keeper so I wouldn't be able to last until birth. Plus I love when people are able to buy personalized items.

Was going to keep it quiet but my 8 and 10 yr old's spilled the beans 😒

I waited till both my son and daughter were born before we even picked a name. I dont like lying and telling people i didn't have a name if we really did so we didn't pick it until birth. Plus i didnt want to listen to the criticism of the names we picked. So not having one made it easier. 
Good thing in the end they loved the names we picked.
