Weight gain?

I have read so many different weights your suppose to gain, so how much are you suppose to gain total? And at like 28 weeks?

Everyone's body type is different. The average is 25-35 lbs based on this chart and most things I read. I've seen some ladies on here restricted to was less weight gain and others way more. I'm pretty heavy but my doctor suggested 25lbs all together. I straight up told him, I'll gain 11. He just smiled. At 23 wks inhale gained 8lbs all together. The baby is still growing fine. I'm thinking it will be more like 20lbs because I don't exercise. I really need to get to it but am soooo not motivated

The pregnancy weight gain rule of 30-35 lbs is mostly in reference to someone who's pregnant for the second time or more or for someone who's overweight I think it's 25 lbs. for someone underweight or for someone in their first pregnancy they can expect to gain 35-60 lbs in most cases. (Most likely not 60 lbs but it's possible and isn't uncommon at all) Women need to stop stressing about their weight in pregnancy.. As long as you and your baby are healthy that's all that should matter. I'm a bigger girl (205 pre-pregnancy) and I've already gained 40+ lbs at 29 weeks. Yes I'm part but guess what? I do what I need to do. I walk for 2 hours a day, drink basically nothing but water, 100oz per day (and if I drink juices it's cranberry, Apple or orange juice) I eat my 3 meals a day (most of them healthy except for the occasional pizza and chicken nuggets and fast food cravings) and I snack between meals on granola bars and fruits and veggies. I'm not doing a whole lot wrong. I'm still gaining weight. Weight gain is mostly hereditary and people need to remember that. I've seen thin women gain between 30-60 lbs and I've also seen overweight women gain 30-60 lbs. it doesn't matter.

I think 20 to 30 pounds is normal. I'm at 28.5 weeks and have gained 20. So I'll probably be closer to the 30 pound point when I deliver.

I've heard 25 pounds total but I'm 28 weeks and I've already gained 20 pounds so I'll be over the 25 total lol.
