Doctor scared me yesterday😥 (long story)

Yolanda
I had my 36 week appt yesterday and I had a huge surprise prior to that. My coworkers threw me a baby shower and I had eaten 2 cupcakes (I'm GD). When it came time to check her heart rate, the doctor was concerned because she said it was high, 164. She immediately called an assistant and demanded that she do an NST on me and rushed me out to another room. I was so scared but I tried to remain as calm as possible. I was hooked up for about 30 minutes and when she returned she noticed she put in the paper wrong the one that prints out when a heart beat is being monitored (idk what it's called lol). But she kinda seemed concerned to me on what was on the paper and said the doc may want to to an ultrasound. The doctor made her insert it the correct way and leave me there for an additional 30 minutes! Mind you, I am laying on my back and all that belly is pressing on my lungs and I can't breath 😭😭. In the middle of all that testing my baby girl is moving like crazy because she probably didn't like the feel of the pressure of the straps and was being super duper active. After about the second half of the second testing she finally gave up or got comfortable and calmed down and that's when her heart rate calmed down. I just didn't feel convince walking out of there when they told me she was fine. A baby in distress is not always a good sign so it's kind of hard just to go with what they say. They didn't mention anything else other than to continue to make sure she's active and that she as fine. I just left worried which I think will make it worst if I'm stressing about it now. Has anyone experienced this? Maybe with her just being so active caused her heart rate to accelerate a bit or maybe the excitement of all the gifts did it also. Shoot maybe the cupcakes I ate idk. I've never experienced this and was wondering if anyone has. Thanks !Â
