How far along until you start counting kicks?

I'll be a full 6 months on Monday & wanted to know when exactly should I start tracking how much my baby kicks? & how do I do it?

My little guffer kicks 10 times in 5 minutes at least! So I never bothered with counting unless it had been a while since there was movement

Generally, they start around 28 weeks.

During your baby's most active period, usually after a meal or if you've had something sweet, count their movements. If you get 10 in 1-2 hours then it is good. Most of the time if you feel your baby moving you can start counting then. It doesn't have to be at a set time, just whenever they decide to be active.

Ive never counted kicks. When im concerned about my baby not moving he knows it and starts moving. But to do a kick count drink ice water or a soda then lay on your left side and I believe its 10 kicks in 2 hours or 6 kicks in an hour. Dont quote me on that though im not sure on the kicks

Whenever ur obgyn tells u to.. mine said she will have me counting after 32 weeks.
