Not as planned. But happy with my baby
I woke up on Sunday having contractions like every time 10 minutes..but they wouldn't last long.
Around 11 am, I had breakfast and took Tylenol because it was getting real. They slowed down, I took advantage of it and finished laundry and cleaning.
They started to get real around 5pm but I decided to wait because I did not want them to send me back home.
Around 7pm I decided to go to the hospital, just for them to tell me I am still 2cm and 70% effaced. I wanted to cry literally. They asked me to go back in 2 hours. Because I was having contractions every 5 minutes, but they wouldn't last longer than 30-40 seconds.
It was 9 already. I decided to go back home and took a shower and I rested on my bed. I arrived back at the hospital at 11pm my contractions were still 5 minutes apart and we're lasting for around 1min.
I could barely walk and the pain was awful.
Then the Dr tells me you are already at 8cm. I couldn't believe it. Then I realized I was bleeding. By 11.40 I was already at 10 cm but he was not coming down (his leg was wrapped with the umbilical cord) and I kept on bleeding. The Dr said "I don't like how this looks" and started calling for support. Then he said I had to get him out because his heart was dropping. I had to get an episiotomy so the Dr could take him out. I pushed and when I felt his head out I was so relieved because I thought the pain was almost gone (wrong)
He was born at 12.00am at 40 weeks!
I was totally not expecting so much drama/pain because my first child was born so nice and it didn't even hurt. I thought it was going to be the same with this baby and I was wrong.
This freaking episiotomy hurts like f hell. The contractions stopped by Monday night. Even if I was not breastfeeding him, the good thing is my belly bounced back almost completely (almost) and the stitches hurt like you have no freaking idea.
I'm barely bleeding now. But sometimes it hurts to seat, walk and even lay down because of the stitches.
My baby is a little angel who barely cries. And he does only when he is hungry.
breastfeeding has been better than with my first child. And for your nipples I totally recommend lanolin of Lansinoh it works wonderfully.
But I look at my baby and fall in love over and over again
