Preeclampsia 1st pregnancy, how likely am I to have a smooth pregnancy this time?

Question

Preeclampsia with 1st pregnancy (2013) high risk this pregnancy.
Im currently 5 weeks and am really nervous that since my chances are higher to develop Preeclampsia again. I'm going to avoid sodium as much as possible, drink water religiously like I always do, and be as active as possible.

Just looking for anyone that has insight :) thank you.

Maybe ask your doctor about taking aspirin every day. It's supposed to help, but I'm not sure if it needs to be taken in the very early days for it to be effective

I had it with my first and had to be induced at 38 weeks. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I didn't have it with my last one and at 29 weeks with twins still don't have it. There were 10 years between my 1st and 2nd pregnancy and my dr said that sometimes you get it when you're younger and not with subsequent pregnancies. Hope that helps.

I don't have any personal insight because this is my first child but I'm in a huge Facebook group with 800 women expecting babies in July and many of them had pre-e in previous pregnancies but not this one. The good news is that they will be monitoring you just in case!
