I'm 19 and my boyfriend is 20. We are both extremely responsible people, we never do anything wrong. We've been together 3 years now. All of my friends and their boyfriends go away for weekend vacations all the time, no problem with their parents what so ever. I asked my mom months in advance what she thought about me spending a weekend in Lake George with my boyfriend. She seemed pretty cool with it, basically said "I don't see why not". Today I asked and immediately my dad is uncomfortable about it and my mother suddenly agrees so it's a no. I understand why they feel this way obviously and I respect their opinions. But what age did you start going on vacations with your significant other alone? Am I being ridiculous here?
