When to take a test?

Me and my bf had sex on the 8 of this month the 14-16 I had some spotting and cramping should I take a test in the morning or wait a few days or weeks?

Was the spotting I had on the 14-16 my period or something else?

Brooke, I would say aim for this month's, but the 15th sounds kind of early with your other dates. Honestly, I'd just wait until Wednesday or so and test then. If you are getting your BFP this month, we want there to be enough hormones in place to trigger an undeniable positive.

It's typically not considered a period until you're bleeding-bleeding (not just spotting) and implantation typically happens around 8 dpo. You don't say if you were ovulating on the 8th, but it you were, that's just about right. I wouldn't take a test just yet. Wait until you're period is due (if you know when that is) or at least a couple more days, if you aren't sure.
