Induction

So I've seen a lot of women on here that are getting induced around 37-38 weeks, how did you all go about talking to your doctors about inducing at that time? I want to ask my doctor on Tuesday about if he doesn't come on his own by then that I would like that as an option? I'm 36 and 3 days and I'm just so uncomfortable and ready to know when he will come I Def don't want to go over my due date so I was just wondering ???!!!!!!
