When is it best to take a test

First time trying for a baby!! 
Only been trying for a month but it's so exciting!

When is it best to take a test? 
Do you wait until you've missed a period or can you take them whenever?

Thanks guys.. I thought that was the case. 
I'm just so excited! 
I got so excited last month as I was late for my period, took a test & I was just sat their willing it to be positive, watching the little timer go round & round.. Sadly it was negative :( 
Got my period the following day (typical)

Hoping for a positive this month but who knows 😂🙊

Some tests are able to detect pregnancy 5 days before your period but I'd recommend waiting to see if you start or not that way you're not waiting money or becoming disheartened. BABY DUST! Its only my 3rd month of TTC so I get how eager you are lol X

Best to take it when your period is due! Or late if you want more of an accurate reading.
