Carrier tests??

Question

Has anyone declined the carrier tests? Why or why not? I am really undecided whether I want to do them or not

I don't want any done. It really depends on the situation though. Our baby was planned and no matter how it comes out, it's still ours and we will find a way to care for it. Now if the baby say was unplanned or I was a teenager not ready and couldn't handle the extra medical bills that would come with a certain disease, I may think otherwise. Every situation is different.

We did just because of the complications with my second baby. We want this baby and will love it absolutely regardless of results. It doesn't have anything to do with that. For us, it was more for safety. Had we not know about our other child's condition, he would have died. This way, we can be cautious and have all the necessary intervention should we need it.
