When do you get newborn pictures taken?

I know some  photographers don't like to do them after a certain age but I'm just wondering how soon is too soon or when is it too late? Post pictures if you want :)

We did ours 9 days after I delivered. With my daughter I think she was 10 days old.

In the first 14 days after birth.

I was told 7-10 days after being born but we will be having ours done 3-4 days after. ☺️

I am doing mine once the cord comes off. I don't want that black, gross stump in his picks and he will still be a sleepy newborn and easier to work with.

I'm due July 1st and am scheduled July 8th for my newborn pictures. If I go before then, we will adjust accordingly
