Bloat vs bump?

How can you tell when it's no longer bloat and you actually have your baby bump? Ftm here and anxious for my bump!! 😂😂

Your baby bump will be much more firm and when you lay flat that part will continue to stick up. The first time I noticed an actual bump was around 16 weeks.

My entire stomach looked chunkier when I was bloated. I started off with a fairly flat stomach, but when the bloat went away around 9 weeks I was left with just a bump on the lower part of my belly. But before that it looked like I was heavier. But that was easier for me to notice because I had just finished losing 35 pounds prior to pregnancy so I knew what I looked like heavier.

I'd say the main difference is hardness. Your real bump will be firm.

I'm at the point where I can't suck it in anymore and I wake up just as "bloated" so I think the bump has stuck. Im 14 weeks today.

I couldn't tell until it finally did go away for good lol. That wasn't until 24/25 weeks.

Bloat increases and decreases and takes up a large part of your stomach. When your bump comes out will be low and firm.
