So my birthday is notorious for being a fucked up day for me. When I started working I was able to escape it by working doubles and just having phone calls and people text me. My last boyfriend didn't make matters better for me. It seriously became a day I dread. Not because of getting older but because people were just mean.

This year was amazing. My family had a dinner and my boyfriend rearranged his work schedule so he could go with me. Which made things much easier. I did end up working a lot but not by choice. I was mandated. When it came to our day off together. He took me out for my favorite breakfast, to the movies to see a movie that I have been excited about, and then to buy kayaks!! It was amazing. We came home after and it was early enough to take the kayaks out. We paddled around for a bit but then he caught my kayak and said let's just float around together. It was one of the happiest days of my life. We ended the night eating cake which he got my favorite. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting!!

I know it doesn't sound like much but to me it was amazing.
