Constipation?!?

What are some safe medicines or remedies I can use to ease the constipation during my pregnancy?!?

Take probiotics every other day...totally kept me regular last pregnancy and this pregnancy too.

Ground flax seed, you can through some in baking (it shouldn't mess with the baking, just substitute some of your flour for the flax seed) or on tonight top of salad. Works like a charm. Also dates or prune juice. And drink lots and lots of water. FYI they don't necessarily tell you this, but if you breastfeed postpartum make sure you drink enough water or you will have serious (painful) constipation (not to mention milk supply problems). I learned this the hard way.

My ob told me to take 1 teaspoon of milk of magnesia to get things moving. Just make sure u don't follow the directions on the bottle that call for 3 Tabelspoons. That will give u diarrhea.

Benefiber you can mix it into your drinks. I would also suggest buying some fiber one bars. Coffee helps me too ;)

Honestly?  I've got to drink a cup of coffee every other day or two.... :/ ONLY thing that works the way I like it too. Other things are to strong and painful.
