Question

So I recently started talking to this guy, about two weeks. We talk everyday. We've hit it off so well. I've not felt this way for someone in so long. I'm 19 he's 20 if that's anything.

But anyways yesterday I get a text 
And I was ecstatic. I felt like he was being respectful, and built my trust in him. And I felt like I was a priority and my feelings mattered. I showed my best friend. She just goes "that's a little weird. You haven't been talking long or are even together and he's asking for permission? 
And it just kind of hurt my feelings. I never find guys that are decent. And when I do instead of being happy for me she's nitpicky. 
Is it too soon? Is it weird? Or is it a good thing in your opinion?

That's definitely very respectful of him I don't think you have anything to worry about. Because think of it like this, rather then his mind being potentially focused on this other girl or anything that could happen between them, he's literally focused on how you would feel or that the fact that you should know and you should! He's respecting your feelings and is openly expressing concern and making sure you are okay with everything he is doing. More people should be like that and your friend is just a representation of the society we live in where affection is seen as "too clingy" and makes men "soft" or "feminine". That's how things are this day and age and you have a man like that? 👏🏼🙌🏼

I do think it could be a little soon but some guys are kinda like that and all that matters is whether or not u think it's 2 soon and if u do u should talk to him about it.   U 2 seem like a great match 💕👍💕

I do think it's too soon for someone to be considerate of your feelings. He clearly cares about you and doesn't want you to be hurt from hearing it from someone else. I wouldn't take it as creepy. He's being respectful and considerate of your feelings. It may also mean he's serious about his feelings towards you and doesn't want to jeopardize that. I don't think there's much more to it than that. I don't know why that would be a bad thing.
