Decrease in fetal movement = approaching labor?

Question

My guy is usually VERY active. But I've noticed his movements have slowed down and they aren't as hard and painful all day today. Anyone know if it could be a sign of impending labor? The movements are enough to know there is no issue with him. Just odd how he's acting different

I think it's simply a combination of growth spurts (they sleep a lot during those) and they are just too big to make drastic movements. In the final weeks there's just not enough room!

My little one has up and down days. Plus I think he's getting cramped. I've noticed more sleepy days now. Like you said he moves enough that I know nothing is wrong, but more so in spurts or if I start poking at him. This is baby 4 for me and I've noticed it's pretty normal.

I went to the hospital last night because of this.

I was checked out and everything is fine, but was told that in the final four weeks they start running out of room and they are also conserving energy for delivery. Totally normal.

My baby isn't moving as much now either. I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow. I heard movements would decrease. As long as I can feel him I wouldn't worry too much. Just eat or drink something if you feel like its been too long.
