Help...This Bothering Me.

I've been discussing with my finance that i want to move and that i would like to move to Georgia to be closer to my family who has always been there for us and since were having our second child, I've been thinking about going back to School and so has he, and he's afraid to tell his mom that were moving because he Said that she's going to get All sad and start to manipulate him into staying, but were I'm confused at is his mom lives 3 to 4 hours away from us, doesn't call our daughter or facetime her unless we call first, doesn't come and visit her only sees her if we bring her down there,has caused so much drama in our relationship but yet he's trying to hold off our move date until after the baby is born saying money wise,but its All an excuse because he doesn't want to have to tell her yet, like this has become such a strain on our relationship.
