Miscarriage, short luteal phase, anovulatory cycles, Clomid and more...

Ok, ladies...my hubby & I have two children (4 & 7) never had issues conceiving them. Now, I'm 30 (he's 35) and we've been ttc quite awhile. Prob is, after tracking my cycles closely, mom and I realized I have 26 day cycles and ovualte very late cd 17 or so and only have a 9 day luteal phase. After conceiving me, my mom ttc 2nd and never could due to a luteal phase defect, went thru many fertility treatments only to gain heartbreak and Never another baby. So, after taking my fears and family history to my doc we we decided together that I would try first round of Clomid in Nov. But, To my surprise, in October we found out I was pregnant at 11dpo. Only to miscarry 14 days later which was devastating. Dr told us to wait full cycle and we could try Clomid after that. But, problem is I have yet to get my period and don't think I even ovulated this month. Opks got darker around cd 17 & 18 (counting cd 1 as first real day of bleeding of m/c) but never got a positive. And, don't think it's possible I missed my surge, I test 3-4 times daily. So, now what? When should I get a period? Will I get one if I didn't ovulate? I am so ready to give Clomid a try to strengthen ovulation and possibly correct my luteal phase issue. He also has me taking it cd 5-9? Any reason for 5-9? Any advice is welcomed as long as you don't judge.
