when to put car seat in ?

I'm a ftm and am curious as to when to put the car seat in my car ? And did you bring it to the police station to check/install? I'm due sept 13th with a baby boy!

I was reading about this the other day. Yes the police will check it for you, but depending on where you live there might only be one "certified installer" for the area and they travel around to the stations, so call the station first to see when they do the inspections. A lot of hospitals will do it too!!

Yeah I'm going to need someone to certify that mine is in correctly but I definitely don't want to go to a police station so hopefully there's someone certified at the hospital that can do it for me

I would wait until probably 36+ weeks. And it definitely never hurts to have it checked! Call your local fire department or police station and see when their car seat tech is available. It usually takes no more than 5-10 minutes and they give great information!

We installed ours at the hospital after I delivered. They don't take that long. But if you want to install it early not to worry about it that's up to you.
