How to tell my dad I'm pregnant??

I'm only 19 years old and I'm extremely nervous to tell my dad. My mom already knows, she accidentally found out when she over heard me talking about it with my boyfriend and now I have to tell my dad. I'm an only child and I'm his little girl and I'm young so I know he will be so hurt and disappointed. I just don't know how to break it to him in the easiest way. My mom is rushing me to do it cause she feels bad keeping a huge secret from her husband and I live with my parents still so I can't keep hiding it. Do I just come out and say it?? Please help 😞

Get him a shirt that says grandpa or something he will probably cry and be happy. I mean you're technically an adult so

I was 19 when I got pregnant with my daughter. I'm not super close to my dad so it was just basically me telling him straight up that I was pregnant and he wasn't happy but he couldn't really be mad either because I'm an adult so he just accepted it. I hope since you're close to your dad that he reacts differently.

I think you might be surprised how he acts. I know a lot of parents get upset. But if you're excited about it make it a big surprise for him. So he knows you're excited? He might take a while to warm up to the idea. But he will love that baby when it's here.

Im 19 as well, and daddys little girl too 😊 my dad took it pretty well especially since he lovessss my bf lol. If he does get upset or disappointed dont worry! He will get over it eventually and be there for u no matter what! ☺️

I had my first child when I was 23. I was a year post college, living on my own and working in my career but was scared to death to tell my dad I was pregnant (hell even with this one at 30) because I was such a daddy's girl and I knew he would be hurt because he wanted me to be married.

I told my mom first and she eventually told my dad. He stopped talking to the both of us for a while and it took my grandmother to step in and tell him to lighten up.

With this pregnancy I just told him. I'm still not married but my boyfriend and I have known each other for 13 years and been together 3. It's hard for dads to let go of their little girls no matter how old they are.

He may still get upset but I say the best way is to sit down with him and have a convo. Maybe not lead with the pregnancy but give him some daddy daughter time loosen him up in a conversation and then ease into it..

Good luck. He will still love you and once he lays eyes on the baby all of his hurt and anger will go away.

I'm also worried about telling my dad. He's the old fashioned type. I'm 21, own my own house and have a good job. But at the end of the day I'm still his little girl. The way I see it, he's 64 now, if I waited he's just going to lose out on years he could have had with his grand children

My Dad was not happy when I Told him about my 1st pregnancy. I just had to tell him and then give him space. Of course he loves my daughter & came to hold her & love on her at the hospital, but it took him a few months to accept my situation when I was pregnant. I say the earlier, the better so he has time to come around before the birth. Good luck!

Get him a shirt that says the best dads are upgraded to grandpa, then hand him an ultrasound picture and tell him when you're due. He might be disappointed but babies are a huge blessing.

I just told my nana and papa... they had questions but they are so excited. It's their first great grandson. They already have a great granddaughter but they dknt see her much. My grandpa acts like he  doesn't care but he's secretly really happy and excited. My nana tells me he crys sometimes because he's so happy. I am also 19 and his favorite grandkid, they raised me so its kind of the same. I was afraid him and my nana would be mad but they were supportive from day one. So was my mom.
