When to shop!?

When did you ladies begin buying things for your baby? I read if you buy something before the 3rd trimester it's superstitious!

I bought the nursery furniture when I found out I was pregnant. At 19 weeks and 4 days I found out I was having a boy and started getting clothes and such. You don't want to be waiting a long time to start because you'll end up stressed and huge and rushing to get everything. Their is so much you need. Every pay check you should start stocking up on diapers and wipes because your gonna need sooo much. Easier to begin shopping sooner, you have no idea what you'll get at your shower and most people have them closer to their due date so that dosnt give you any time at all to get what you don't receive. I've gotten a lot now and then I'll have a small shower for the little things I need like soaps, towels, cloths, diaper bag, receiving blankets and some outfits.

I am waiting until 3rd month to create registries and except minor things, will wait until after baby shower to buy larger items.

But to be fair, I have been collecting for the past 6 years, hahaha.  So I have a lot of the stuff already.

I'm almost 20 weeks and have pretty much everything for our baby boy. Nursery just got done being painted, furniture gets here Wednesday, closet full of clothes and diapers. I was too excited to wait, and I'm not superstitious at all.

started shopping for baby at 14 weeks, I've been slowly accumulating things & at 31 weeks baby is just fine & we have almost everything we need. only superstition I even entertain a little is the salt one & its not even because I believe in it, lol it's just out of habit now that I toss salt over my shoulder if I spill some.

Okay I definitely don't believe all that superstitious stuff ....... 
But, it depends whether or not you're having a baby shower. If you are, I'd wait. 
If you're not, then I'd say maybe 2nd trimester.

I waited until after the 20 week ultrasound, though not for any particular reason since we didn't find out the sex! I didn't want to start too late since it's easier for me to spread the expenses out a bit.
