What is a csection like?

I'm really curious. What is the procedure like? And how was recovery?

Brownie points if you've experienced both vaginal and csection and can compare the two.

It really depends on the person. I had a smooth c section with a very smooth recovery as well. Scheduled ones I've heard are easier than emergency ones. The key is to get up and walk around no matter how painful you think it may be. It really will help.

My first was a c-section..second wasnt..

C-section was quick as hell..painless..recovery was fine..really for me recovery was about the same with both..i felt fine after each..just with one you go through labor and pushing and all that & the other your numb and the doctors do all the work. Of course, everyones experiences with both can be extremely different than my experiences.. Child birth either way can be pretty unpredictable. Good luck 👍

I had a vaginal delivery with my first. Induced with back labor. I tore and lost a lot of blood. Had a scheduled c section with my second. Don't remember the spinal block so it couldn't have been that bad but I did get a bladder and kidney infection after. Seemed equal in recovery time to me.

I had emergency c section. Didn't feel even a pinch from epidural. I got extremely sick while laying there in the beginning waiting for them to start. Not easy throwing up while on your back and most of your body is numb! The whole procedure was maybe 45 min? Doesn't take too long to get the baby out, the stitching is really what takes the longest. You will feel pressure while they pull your uterus and try to get the baby out. After surgery it takes a while for your legs to feel normal again. I couldn't see my daughter in the NICU until I was able to feel my legs again. You will feel like you can't stand up
Straight but really try to get up and move around. It was pretty painful but maybe because my daughter was in the NICU I wasn't really worried about my pain.

My first was a vaginal, he was face up I pushed for two hours, and tore terribly. Horrible recovery.
Second was a c section, the epi wasn't pleasant since I wasn't having contractions, but I recovered quicker than my vaginal.
