Hospital bag ?

So I'm 35 weeks with my first baby and I'm sitting here wondering how big should my hospital bag be ( like will my diaper bag be ok ? Or a duffle bag ) and what should I put inside of it ?

I packed two small bags, one for labor and one for recovery(this is my third baby). All toiletries are travel size.

I have: 
Shampoo for me
Shampoo for DH 
Body wash for me
Body wash for DH 
Conditioner
Face wash
Disposable razor 
Basic makeup
Tooth brush for me
Tooth brush for DH 
Toothpaste 
Hairspray
Flatiron
Hairbrush
Chapstick
2 hair ties and Bobby pins 
Headband
Qtips
Deodorant for me
Deodorant for DH
Pajamas for DH
Extra underwear and socks for DH (he will come home to get our kids after the baby is born and will get his clothes then)
Nursing bra (2)
Nipple shield and lanolin 
Light sweater
Black yoga pants
2 nursing/maternity tops 
Robe
Button up pajamas (black)
Slippers
3 pair socks
3 outfits newborn
3 outfits 0-3 month 
Blanket
Baby book for footprints
Phone charger

DH will likely grab himself a pillow and blanket before we leave home.

The only thing not pictured are the baby clothes because I was washing them.

Honestly, from personal experience, you don't need a lot of the stuff that the online checklists tell you to pack.

Im a first time mom also just had my baby girl in April just a few things i would suggest.Chapstick for some reason giving birth made my lips really chapped and weird..Extra sweatpants or yoga pants,socks, nursing bra if your breastfeeding,towel from home the hospital ones are a little rough,and maybe maxi pads with wings if the hospital dosent have any with wings hope this helps

I especially needed: 
-Personal toiletries (Chapstick, a little makeup for refreshing, hair brush, hair ties, qtips, lotion, toothbrush/paste, nail file, deodorant, shower cap, things like that-doesn't take up a lot of room)
-socks (anti skid and thermal because my feet freeze at night)
-3 pairs of underwear 
-flip flops for shower (personal preference)
-robe 
-nursing tank/bra
-nursing pads (I can't remember if my hospital supplied these or I brought them myself) 
-2 yoga pants/2 tops (I went in with yoga pants and shirt, left in a different pair of yoga pants and shirt, and had an extra pair of yoga pants and shirt as my pjs)
-robe 
-phones/cameras/etc/chargers
-snacks and change for vending machine
-pillow, blanket (with my first, I only stayed one night in the hospital, but I was miserably cold and uncomfortable, so I made sure to bring my own pillow and blanket with my second, and it was awesome-- you can keep in car and send someone to get it when/if you need it)
-2 outfits for baby, with mittens and a hat 
-swaddle blanket for baby

I also have the baby diaper bag all packed and it will be in the car if there's anything I need that the hospital doesn't have :)

Might sound like a lot in reading, but it's a small duffle bag that we'll be walking in with and the other stuff will be in the car if we need it :)
