Me and a family member disagree on when to stop giving your lil one a paci. Mind I've been out of the game 10yrs but when my son was lil my pediatrician said when they started to get in teeth you needed to stop the paci. That being said my lil one was off the paci when he was a year old. My cousins 4yr old still has his paci and claims her pediatrician says its completely fine. Thing is her son turns 5 in august and will be going to 5k I'm not sure how the school will handle him still having the paci since she is not going to try and wean him off.

Is what she saying true is it ok to allow a lil one to keep the paci do long? Also how do schools handle this?
