Getting piercings while pregnant in the second trimester? Yes or big no no? Comment your opinions

My husband is a professional piercer and he won't pierce people when they are pregnant. He also wanted me to take my piercings out. Remember any infections you get you share with the baby. Even if you get pierced by the most skilled person and everything is brand new and completely sanitary, you can still get an infection. It's just something you shouldn't risk. Wait until after baby is born. That way you don't have to worry ☺️

I don't see anything wrong with it . there's just the risk of getting an infection (just like if you weren't pregnant) & it could POTENTIALLY hurt baby. But other than that I think it's fine. Just don't get your tounge lol it'll be super hard to eat for a while.

Your hormones are all over the place so healing process is going to vary extensively, but it'd be the same case if you weren't pregnant. Personally I'm 32 weeks and figured continuing to get piercings can wait til after babies born, not too much longer anyhow.

Any professional person would not pierce you. Also when you get a piercing the body reacts by producing more white blood cells and it can go into overdrive because of a foreign object in the body. This process could take away important nutrients and protection from baby.
