Organic prenatal vitamins?

Question

So I was told some prenatal vitamins are bad for you? Or bad for you to take.. My doctor gave me a over the counter brand that was really cheap but I don't feel comfortable taking them( but I still do) I want to get a new bottle asap but I don't know what to get.. I was wondering if they had organic ones possibly?? When I go to the pharmacy to ask they say they never heard of it & rush me out I think it's because I'm younger they don't take me seriously.. 😕

I have never heard of prenatal vitamins being bad for you. Some are better than others (because their formula is easier to absorb), and my doctor recommended vitamins made from whole food (vegetables) for that reason, but any vitamin is fine and is certainly better than no vitamin.

Ya..the ones that told u that PRENATAL VITAMINS ARE BAD FOR U, are the VEGAN/ORGANIC fanatics that are against EVERYTHING that's not organic.
All prenatal vitamins are the same.  The exceptions are the gummies because the gummies do not have iron and you would need to also add an iron supliment to ur daily prenatal vitamins gummies. 
Other than that,  all prenatal vitamins are the same. Please don't listen to anyone telling u otherwise. ..especially if ur obgyn already gave u something. ..

I take an organic non GMO liquid prenatal that I get online. Not all prenatals are created equal, but I wouldn't say there are prenatals that are bad for you. Make sure you're getting folate especially in the earliest weeks!

I don't agree that all prenatal are the same. Some are manufactured synthetically using man made chemicals while others come from their natural whole food source.  I love garden of life organic prenatals. You should check out reviews on amazon if you're interested.

A lot of vitamins have a synthetic coating that makes the absorption less efficient therefore you may not get the optimum nutrients out of them. Also they are man made versions of the nutrients instead if the equivalent of what you would get from food. That doesn't mean that they are bad. I personally take whole food based organic vitamins but that is because I prefer that and they are easier for me to digest. but just do your research and find whats best for you. Every body is different and reacts differently to different vitamins. I think it would be very hard to chose a brand of vitamin that would be "bad" for you.

It also depends how far along you are. The plant based DHA isn't from fish and doesn't give you the Omega 3's. I'm sure if you google the organic prenatals you'll find some. My friend takes the organics and gets them from Amazon, but she didn't take them until her second trimester because she knew how important the DHA was for the first trimester. She has to take them 3 times a day, and she says it's a pain compared to my one a day pills. The only big difference is that my pill has a dye in it, but it's from vegetable juice.

I worked at a health food store for years , and the main reason why some vitamins are bad for you is because the coting is not digested , and also most of the nutrient/vitamin part is not being digested into your body , it is just coming out. This prenatal is not organic but was always the most popular one when I was working was branded  "platinum" they have prenatles in this brand. It is fastly absorbed into the body and is based from oil. It is very hard on the stomach though, I have gotten sick many times from it ... You need to have a very very full stomach to take it. Another one I was taking which was amazing on my stomach and was all based on organic foods, was "vitamin code". It's a three a day which is always best because it's absorbed with food well and slowly.  Both are on the priced side , specially the organic one. But in my opinion is worth it. Specially if your like me and your diet hasn't been the best :)

They are pretty much all the same the.only real difference is if you get the ones that vegetarians takes bc it doesn't contain fish.
