Why are people in such a hurry when driving?

Got a new car last night went to take my daughter to dance and grab lunch after mind u I grabbed to go so we wouldn't eat and make a mess in my new car some body pulls out right in front of me and I have to slam on my breaks and bam the food and drinks all over my new car I feel like crap it wasn't my fault and I didn't hit her thank God but I just feel like i don't deserve anything new and nice because I can't even have a vehicle for 24 hours without making a mess of it hmmm 😭 my husband said he was glad no one got hurt which made me feel worse because then I start with the what if geez I hate these hormones

I've felt the same way, but my situation was MUCH different than yours.

My fiancé proposed to me, and 24 hours later I dropped my ring down our sink.

A week later, he surprised me with a new car and not even 6 hours later I hit our mailbox backing out of our driveway.😢

You learn accidents happen, and it could always be worse. Just have your car detailed and be thankful that it was just food that was thrown around.

If u wanted to not make a mess,  u would have eaten there. .it takes 10 minutes to eat. U don't take food to go to " avoid mishaps " u take food to go because you urself are in a hurry and have no time to dine IN. To go food is acknowledging the fact that you don't want to go in because u don't want to or (most cases, don't have the time because you are in a hurry). Talking food and drinks to go is ALWAYS a risk.. ur drinks should ALWAYS be in proper coasters inserts ur car has, while in motion. U take sips only when car is stopped. Food should be always wrapped and put away. 
The fact that a CAR got in ur way is normal. .people drive like that all the time. . That CAR could have been a child running, or a run away dog... or a tire blow out. The result would have been the same.. 
That's why u don't eat/ drink while driving.  U eat BEFORE getting in the car. Once u go to a drive through, u asume the risk of getting ur car ruinied..funny part is. .lots of people actually attempt SAVING THEIR CAR FROM GETTING SODA AND FOOD ON IT, WHILE CRASHING INTO OTHERS. .. 
The truth is that u should NEVER have food or drinks in the car.. bottles yes, cans /fountain drinks. . Food. ..nope nope nope..ya, very convinient, until it can be very UNconvinient... and can easily kill u. No matter what the problem, or situation, u need to eat before getting in the car.. when in the car ur attention needs to be 100%on the road. .not to food and drinks. .
