Fallout Nursery!

Hello everyone! My SO and I are expecting in Feburary, and I know it's a long ways off but we have been discussing nursery decor. We want to go with something geeky, but also subtle, as I still want the nursery to be appealing to the non-geeks in our family. In order to appeal to both sides we came up with an incredible plan! He wants a fallout themed nursery, so we are planning on recreating Shaun's pre-war nursery from Fallout 4!

We are both into DIY stuff so a lot of the things we buy will be only partially ready for the nursery. The crib, for example, will be a classic 1950's style with the rounded head and foot boards, and we will be painting it blue. We are planning on getting yellow/gold/brown curtains, a rocket ship patterned rug, simple brown dresser/changing table, red armchair, blue and white lamp, white cabinet, wire wastebasket, vintage toy blocks, and we are making a custom Nuka-Cola truck (I paint and have made custom Nuka-Cola items in the past, as well as cosplay props and costumes), Nuka-Rocket mobile, and You Are SPECIAL book! We will also be including some Vault Boy and BoS prints off of Etsy for the walls. I'm so excited to get started on this project!

We wanted to have a Fallout themed room somewhere in the house anyway, and I am absolutely in love with the 1950's style so this seemed like the perfect opportunity!

If anyone has any ideas for where to find specific pieces of furniture, or has any comments on our idea or how to make it even more realistic please let me know, thanks!
