Hi ladies, I need some help understanding my maternity leave options.. I live in california, I started this job about 6 months ago and I know I cant get any paid time off through the company, which is a grocery store. Im now 36 weeks, at my last doctor appointment my blood pressure was really high and my doctor said if it was still high by my next appointment she would write me a letter for disability. Today at my appointment, everything was actually good so she didnt mention it. I was hoping to get disability through california for after he's born, so i can spend maybe 6 weeks with baby and breast feed etc, but is there anything I can do now she didnt write me a recommendation??
