Ftm, scheduled c-section info
Hi girls! If you schedule a c-section, what is the typical procedure for pain management? Do they give you a standard epidural before and then pain pills once that wears off? Also, when you go in for the scheduled c-section, what is the procedure? From when you arrive to when you get to your recovery room.
Sadly, my doctor thinks I will need a c-section due to my pelvis being too small and tight. She said she would like to schedule one for my due date, but it's up to me. I can choose to try to go into labor first but it's up to me. At 38.2 I'm not progressing at all and they can barely do the cervical check because my pelvis is so tight. Her worry is putting me through a long labor just to end up at a c-section anyway and possible distress for baby.
Basically I'm just trying to find out as much info about c-sections as possible before I make a decision. After 2 miscarriages, this baby's health is my main concern over anything.
