What are you planning to do for childcare?

My husband and I are ttc and wonder what other people are doing for childcare.

I'm a mix of work from home/stay at home. I run my own daycare.

I don't know exactly what I'll do (Im not planning on kids yet) but I'll probably do what my parents did. I'll try daycare or a nanny (my parents have done both) but I'd keep it minimal. Both my parents worked full time but we were dropped at daycare or our nanny arrived by 7am and then we had school and afterwards we were with childcare till 5pm when at least one parent (and 90% of the time they were both there) would pick us up or get home and our nanny would leave. I never felt raised by a nanny and I'm still in touch with three of the nannies/daycare workers I've had over the years and I'm 20 now. My parents did an amazing job raising my brothers and I and they always took a lot of care in choosing the people that took care of us.

I work as a preschool teacher at a daycare, and he works friday through Monday. He will be able to be home with the baby tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I haven't decided if I want to bring the baby with me monday and Friday or have either my grandma or best friend watch him those days. Decisions decisions.

My SO works nights and I will be a full time student so my classes will be in mornings and then daddy will be home during the day, then we will both be home for a few hours, then I'll be home at night with baby. We also have family that live within 15 minutes so if we need them they're an option too!

I work from home full time (40 hrs a week) so I can raise my daughter who is 2.5 yrs old. I plan on doing this at least until she starts school full time.

I currently work at a daycare full time and my husband is in the military working full time. Depending on how things go (as I am looking for another job), we are of the mind that if i keep working at the daycare, we would much rather have me stay at home when I would get the chance to take care of my baby rather than take care of 50. But we have to see how this job pans out

I'm a stay at home for now but when I have my second daughter I'm going back to work and my kids will be in daycare.

I am a nanny so I will carry on my job with the family I work for with my child once we get our BFP :)
