Do you always know when you're losing your mucus plug?

Can you lose it and not even know it? I just imagine seeing ogre ear wax candle in my panties one day but nothing so far.

Is it possible to have already lost it and not even realize? I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow

I'm pregnant with my third baby and have never seen my plug fall out. Looks like lots of us don't notice it. :)

I've been losing it a little at a time. Every time I pee there's a bit of mucus when I wipe. It's gone from clear to yellow...nothing major until there's blood so I'm just waiting. My friend lost hers for 4 days before she even went into labor and then labored off and on for a few more days before baby was finally ready.

I noticed mine but I don't think it was all, three bathroom trips and there was super stringy mucus added up together to be about the size of a nickel. Do you watch when you wipe?
