Breast feeding after reduction
Although this is post partum i will post it here...
There has been a few posts in the past about bfar. I had my br 6 years ago and I was warned that I may never be able to bf due to my nipples being completely removed. Well my dd was born 6/27/16 @1038 am the very first day was the hardest.. she was on my boob the entire day and seemed as if she was not getting anything. The nurses did her blood work and her sugar was extremely low so they had to give her a bottle my boobs just weren't doing the job. Day 2 (6/28/16) we decided it was best to supp. So we did boob 30mins and then 10 - 15 cc of bottle for each feed. Day 6/29 we did the same. Today 6/30 no formula all bf and it's going pretty good maybe because my milk officially came in today.
I'm glad I didn't give up on days 1-3 and assume that I wouldn't be able to feed.
