I'm a FTM 37 and 5 days. At my last appt my doc said something about pitocin if I'm overdue and I declined and asked if there are any other methods. She wants to sweep my membranes at 39 wks. Should i go with it or wait until I'm 40 wks to see what my body does and if necessary get my membranes swept. She said if I'm overdue they'll use some crochet hook to break my water and put me on pitocin to get labor started. Any advice or experiences with either?
