I've had a lot of good comments about the Medela one, so I bought it. I'm a FTM and haven't had my baby yet so I can't give you any feedback about it, but it seems very easy to manage and alla of the stuff it needs you can find in Amazon for very good prices! Like the valves and all that.

Call your insurance to see if they cover one for free!! Some insurance will only cover certain brands, mine gave me a Medela.

If you can't get a free one from your insurance, I recommend the medela harmony (I believe that's the name). It should run you around $30 and is a manual pump. I was actually really against manual pumps... Until I got one. I only bought it out of desperation because my insurance wouldn't cover a pump and I was very sore. Well I love this thing!! It pumps quickly and easily. It's also silent (duh) and doesn't need electricity (duh).. Obvious perks but just things I didn't think of when I used to have one of those super fancy and expensive medela pimps.

I'll be using a Medella from a friend who used it for two. She says it's awesome! First two I used a free hand express one from the Health Unit. Insurance companies sometimes cover them and I've heard of some hospitals giving you one too.
