Not as developed as it should be

Well I had my estimated 8 week appointment land the vaginal ultrasound only had our little seed measuring at 5 weeks. They said there is a chance I ovulated late since my periods aren't always regular and sent me for blood work Thursday and had me come back today for follow up blood work. But they won't tell me the results until tomorrow the nurse said. I'm stressed out and ice been crying all weekend. I want to know if anyone else has been through this?  And what happened?  Please help me put my mind at ease.
