Traveling with an infant sounds more stressful than just staying home in my opinion. I guess it depends on the baby's disposition, but my first had horrible reflux, didn't sleep more than 2 hrs at a time and screamed in his carseat. I'd rather stay home with takeout n a glass of wine lol

I went to the beach four weeks after having my first for husbands birthday. It was super Low key and in the fall but I still didn't feel great. Luckily my first baby was a dream and so easy but just do what your body is telling you to do and wait to see how baby is eating, sleeping etc. I'm not so sure this one will be as easy! :)

My aunt and uncle just got a beach house about 4 hours away. I'm hoping to go in sept for a long weekend before I go back to work in October. Hopefully baby will be easy when it comes to travel!

Just to my beach house in Long Island, hoping for Labor Day weekend. Not a true "vacation" I suppose but it's a 2 1/2 hr drive so driving with a newborn that far will be interesting!

Went to Utah from so cal for thanksgiving 3 weeks after my 2nd was born. I had very little bleeding by then and a good recovery. It was just my older 7 year old and the baby on the drive. Baby travelled well she slept most of the drive and older daughter gave her a bottle. I pumped while driving and nursed while stopped to eat. If this next one is a good recovery then we'll be making the same trip about 2-3 weeks after delivery for our summer trip.
