Why???

Why is it such a bad thing to raise your boy as a boy and your girl as a girl?

My boy doesn't wear dresses and he doesn't get his nails painted. We shop in the boys section at stores. If we had a girl, we would shop in the girls section.

If my child comes to me at an older age and says "Hey, I'm gay" or "I think I should be a girl", then I will support them and we will work through it. They will always feel loved and they will not be taught to hate. They know that not everyone is the same. I feel like you could cause confusion by not showing them the different genders.

It's not ok to call people bigots and shame them for their parenting style because you don't agree with it. I would never shame a parent for letting their boy paint his nails, or whatever.

Another thing, I always hear people arguing that "gender isn't important", but there are a ton of trans men and women that would disagree. They go through a lot to show what gender they truly are. I feel like denying that gender is important, you are denying those people's identities. And not just trans people, a lot of people put a ton of effort in to show their gender.
